Having recently starred in An Education, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and with The Sorcerer’s Apprentice just around the corner, Alfred Molina has had a mixed bag with his recent choice of role. The latest news is that this is set to continue as it’s confirmed that he’ll be starring alongside The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star, Taylor Lautner in ABDUCTION.
The film, which is being produced over at Lionsgate, is based on a script by Shawn Christensen and Jeffrey Nachmanoff and will be directed by John Singleton. Also starring is The Blind Side actress Lily Collins and Ryan Patrick. So what can we expect from the film? More from Deadline.com:
Lautner plays a young man who realizes he was kidnapped as a child, and is forced to run for his life after he reaches out to find his real parents. Molina will play a dogged CIA agent who is one step behind, determined to bring the teenager in alive. John Singleton is directing the Shawn Christensen script, and Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Lee Stollman are producing with Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Doug Davison, and Tailor Made’s Dan Lautner. Pat Crowley is also producing.
Sounds like an interesting premise, and it’s good to see Lautner branching out from his Twilight roots to develop his rep as an actor. What do you think Twihards? Looking forward to this? How about everyone else?
